Grand BEing, Royals!
Today, I had the joy of walking through Disney’s Animal Kingdom with my Glambabies in tow. It was a beautiful evening with a temperature of about 75 degrees. The landscape was beautiful and clearly manmade. And it got me to thinking…
At midnight tonight, the US TikTok ban will go into effect and so many digital content creators have been flocking to RedNote (which I will speak on the irony of that in another post) and Lemon8 in order to ensure their voices are heard. I learned that Snoop Dogg and Nelly have already performed for First Lady Trump at an event leading up to the inaugural. And there I was walking through watching people who were being “paid” to represent the cultures of different nations and continents and all I could think of was how deadening of the Self and Soul it all seemed.
In 2018, on The Feature Presentation with DJSuss, at about the 12 minute mark, Snoop starts talking about Trump, his followers, Kanye and anybody else that chooses to follow after sTrumpet. It’s the interview that solidified my respect for Snoop. He chose to stand up and speak out regardless of how anybody would perceive him and/or what he said.
Last week, I challenged us all to “speak up and speak out”, using our voices as the power that they are to strengthen our Selves, our Souls, and our Collective. And this week, I realize that to amplify our voices to speak truth to power, we must “Stand Up and Stand Out” in our authenticity of Self. Of course, I recognize that this can be VERY scary because it could “cost” us money, friends, familial relationships, reputation, and our standing in our respective communities. With every Yin there is a Yang! With Light comes the realization of Darkness and the depth of that Darkness. Stand Up and Stand Out anyway.
When we Stand Up for the truth of who we are, we tell our SELVES, we know we are worthy. When we Stand Out for the truth of how we became, we tell our Souls, we are grateful for the journey. And when we Stand Up and Stand Out and speak truth to power, we tell the Universe we understand our divinity. So this week, let your affirmation be; “I Stand Up confidently in who I am. I Stand Out from the status quo and demand I be seen. I Stand Up and Stand Out with the fullness of who I have been, who I am, and who I am becoming!”
Happy Being, Royals!
